Artist Introduction
Cartoonist · Public Communication Artist
Shaoxu Cui is a cartoonist whose practice spans editorial cartoons, social commentary and public communication.
Working with everyday situations and public issues, he uses satire and visual storytelling to make complex subjects accessible. His cartoons bring information into recognisable scenes, inviting readers to look more closely at the world around them.
His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, received awards, and appeared in specialist media. Alongside his editorial practice, he creates visual communication for tax authorities, courts, procuratorates and public security institutions, and contributes cartoons to youth educational publications.
He continues to explore how cartoons can work across public communication and new media.
